Abstract Background The main source of daily energy requirement in Asian societies is basal metabolic rate (BMR). Even though the reason for this fluctuation debatable, prior research have shown that BMR highly varied individuals. All studies concur variation fat-free mass (FFM) important, although effects fat (FM), age, sex, and hormones leptin, triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4) are still unknown.
